    New Members Shine at the State CDE Contest

    Recently, our new members went to the state CDE contest and did an awesome job. Kolton Spitznagle placed 6th overall, which is a huge accomplishment! We’re really proud of all our members for participating, working hard, and giving it their best effort. Everyone represented our chapter well, and it was a great experience for all of us.

    Gearing Up for Livestock Judging

    All FFA members, get ready! It’s almost Livestock Judging time again, and our chapter is gearing up to compete. Livestock Judging is one of the biggest and most exciting competitions in FFA, giving members a chance to show off their knowledge and skills. We’ll start practicing soon, we’ll be learning how to evaluate different animals, and preparing to do our best. Everyone is excited to participate, represent our chapter, and we are hoping to see all of you there.

    Serving Our Community: FFA at the Local Food Pantry

    Our chapter recently participated in a local food pantry. This was a community service opportunity for all the members of the chapter. We thank everyone who participated and helped us do this. It was a great experience to learn the true meaning of FFA.

    Join the Journey: Opportunities Await in FFA

    With new projects and competitions coming up, FFA members are excited to keep learning and growing. The chapter wants all students to check out the opportunities FFA has, from leadership activities to hands-on agriculture projects. Our FFA chapter gives lots of chances for students to get involved, and it’s important that everyone gets to experience the agriculture way. We can’t wait to see what this year has in store!

    The Mowrystown FFA chapter has been busy this semester with activities and events. The chapter has won several awards, and we are proud of their accomplishments. Members have also worked hard to give back to the chapter and the community. We look forward to seeing all they will achieve next semester.

    Mowrystown FFA to Host Annual Day of Giving

    Everyone get ready! Next month, the Mowrystown FFA will be hosting our Day of Giving on December 19th. There will be fun activities throughout the day and an assembly to wrap things up. We’re excited about another amazing year of giving back to our community and making a difference together.

    Reaching the Highest Degree: A Proud Moment for Mowrystown FFA

    The previous week at the National Convention, three of our recent Mowrystown FFA members accepted their American Degrees. First, Lydia Carr received hers; she graduated in 2024 and is currently - years old. Next, Eli Roberts earned his degree; he also graduated in 2024 and is - years old. Finally, Jake Ward accepted his degree; he graduated in 2024 and is - years old. Our chapter is so proud of them for putting in their time and effort to complete all the work required to earn this amazing award. Congratulations, Lydia, Eli, and Jake!

    Mowrystown FFA Competes Strongly in Livestock and Soils Judging

    The Mowrystown FFA has been busy with several recent events, including livestock judging and the soils contest. The livestock judging competition took place at the Brown County Fair.

    Meet the 2025–26 Mowrystown FFA Officers!

    Leading the team is President Marley Gobin, an 18-year-old senior. Serving as Vice Presidents are Kara Deatley, Sydney Shelton, and Madison Davidson — all seniors and 17 years old.

    Megan Thompson, a 16-year-old junior, holds the position of Secretary, while Mattalyn Conrad, an 18-year-old senior, serves as Treasurer.

    Our Reporter is Ryan Gobin, a 14-year-old freshman, and the Sentinel is Hayden Stratton, a 16-year-old sophomore. Rounding out the team are Student Advisor Hannah Burnett, an 18-year-old senior, and Historian Natalie Burnett, a 14-year-old freshman.

    This outstanding team is excited for the year ahead and is determined to make 2025–26 the best year yet for the Mowrystown FFA!

    Welcome Back to School from the Mowrystown FFA! We started this school year off with our annual Back-to-School bash at the Burnett's house, and it was a blast.
