At Bright Local Schools, we're continuing to strengthen our commitment to preparing every student for success in college, careers, and life through high expectations, meaningful learning, and consistent accountability.
Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, several updates will support our strategic plan:
- Final Exams Return for Grades 9-12
Final exams will be administered at the end of each semester to encourage consistent effort, reinforce learning, and better prepare students for future academic and career expectations.
- Updated College Credit Plus (CCP) Expectations
Students participating in CCP will follow updated attendance and scheduling expectations to help them successfully balance college coursework with their responsibilities as Whiteoak students.
- Transfer Student Placement Guidelines
New procedures will ensure fair and consistent academic placement through transcript review, assessments, and appropriate course recommendations.
