Bright Local School District Enrollment Information

The Preschool Playdate is April 26, 2024. Click the link https://bit.ly/3OAUaUN to start the enrollment process for your preschool child. Please contact Lisa Beresford,  937-442-2241 ext. 11111 or [email protected] for additional information.

A child must be 5 years of age by August 1st to enroll in kindergarten. Kindergarten Registration is March 27, 2024. Click the link https://bit.ly/49ngTf4 to start the enrollment process for your kindergarten child.  Someone from the elementary school will contact you upon completing the registration to set up a screening time for your child for the March 27th registration day. Please call Bright Elementary, 937-927-7010 with any questions before or after the March 27th registration date.

New Enrollment

New Enrollments for the 2023/24 school year may register beginning June 5, 2023. Enrollments for the current 2022/23 school year go to Final Forms and complete your registration. See registration requirements below.  Please contact Mrs. Cathy Forsythe, 937-442-2241 ext. 11113 or [email protected] upon completion of your child’s FinalForms enrollment to set up an appointment to go over required documents, busing information and visit any general questions. Click https://brightlocal-oh.finalforms.com/ to register your child(ren) through FinalForms. A separate application is to be completed for each  new student. Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment - For students living outside of the Bright Local School District and are interested in registering under the open enrollment policy, you must first submit an Open Enrollment Application.  The open enrollment application must be approved before you can proceed with your child(ren’s) enrollment. The application is available NOW. Click on the following link to apply for Open Enrollment for the 2024/25 school year: https://bit.ly/492f2Mm. Please complete a separate open enrollment form for each child. A letter will be sent to the parent once approved or denied by the Superintendent. Required Documents and Information:

 The following documents must be provided by the parent or legal guardian

at the in-person enrollment appointment:

  1. Birth Certificate or passport

  2. Social Security card 

  3. Immunization records

  4. Proof of residency (deed, mortgage, lease, pay-stub, current utility bill, or mail showing you are residing at the address listed).

  5. Parent/Guardian’s driver’s license or state I.D. - this will not be accepted as proof of residence.    

  6. Custody papers – if applicable
     *If custody is in process, the parent has 60 days to complete.
     *A letter from an attorney or court must show status of the case at enrollment.

  7. Grade card or transcript from student’s previous school attended

  8. Copy of ETR/IEP if applicable

You may upload any of the required documents digitally in the FinalForms application or bring them with you at your appointment time.

  1. Before upload, please label your documents with child’s name

  2. Upload Options:  DOCS, PDF’s and images (JPG or PNG) only 
    If you are taking a picture of the document, ENSURE that the image is clear and with good lighting..
