We are thrilled to announce an upcoming professional development opportunity hosted by Bright Local Schools in partnership with Kid Wind. With the growing emphasis on solar energy projects in our region, this event aims to prepare our students for the future by integrating solar energy lessons into our curriculum.Key Highlights:Open to All Teachers in All Districts: No prior experience required.Solar Education Gear: Each teacher will receive $100 worth of solar education gear.Stipend: All attendees will receive a $100 stipend.Meals: Breakfast and lunch will be provided!This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your teaching toolkit and bring innovative, real-world lessons into your classroom. WE NEED YOUR HELP! The current count of donations that have been made at Whiteoak are at 41. That’s only 9 away from earning grant money for the school (see attached document below). This year, Hoxworth is allowing donations to be made at their other donation centers to count towards the grant program. If 9 people would be willing to donate at one of the other centers before May 31st and say they are donating for “Whiteoak HS”, Hoxworth will send a check to the Whiteoak High School.
