Dear Bright Local Families,
In making plans for the 2021-2022 school year, the Bright Local School District will continue to put the health and safety of our students and staff at the forefront of our planning efforts. The Bright Local School District will work closely with our local health department to assure that we continue to follow CDC guidelines.
It is my hope that we will continue to see minimal cases of the COVID-19 virus within our schools. I believe that the best education takes place in the school setting with direct instruction from a classroom teacher who can assist students and provide remediation when necessary. Therefore, it is my intention, at this time, to return to in-person learning five days a week, for the
2021-2022 school year. We will no longer be offering our virtual PLP option at Bright Elementary School. I do want to be clear that if we see an increase in the number of positive cases within our school community then we may need to re-address my decision.
