Subject: Inclement
Weather Plan/Emergency Notification
The Bright Local School District will be using the following
inclement Weather/Emergency Notification Plan for the 2019/2020 school
year. This plan will provide for closing
the schools in case of inclement weather or for changing the regular operation
times of our schools. In the case of
implementation of any of the elements of the plan, an announcement will be made through our automated “one call” system,
and will also be made on the following Radio/TV stations as early as possible:
WSRW 106.7 FM WVNU 97.5 FM
WCPO/TV CH 9 WLW/TV CH 5
WKRC/TV CH 12 WXIX/TV CH

Plan Elements:
1.
Closed: If it is announced that all schools are closed, we will be closing ALL
buildings, and there will be no bus service and no classes.
2.
Two Hour Delay: If it is announced that a two-hour delay is in effect, opening of the
school buildings will be delayed by two (2) hours, buses will run two (2) hours
late, classes will be conducted. Dismissal will be at regular time.
In the event of a delay being announced and a road is not
run by our buses/vans because of poor road conditions, and attendance is
desired by the parent, it would be the responsibility of the parent to
transport the student(s) to school that day. The responsibility also rests with the parent to pick their student(s)
up at the close of the day. Dismissal
will be at regular scheduled time.
