WHITEOAK JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL
On Monday, August 13th, Whiteoak Jr./Sr. High School will be holding Open House from 5:00 p.m-7:00 p.m. During Open House students will receive their schedules in the Student Center. They will also be able to purchase iPads in the library. The cost of the iPad is $335.00. We will offer a payment plan. If you have purchased your iPad outside of the school, please bring it with you to have it set up for the school year. If you choose not to purchase an iPad on your own or through the school, there will be a $50 fee to use a school owned iPad. All students will be issued an iPad.
Bus drivers will be available to meet the students and answer any transportation questions. Debbie Robertson, our Food Service Supervisor, will be present to answer questions and collect money for lunch accounts. The lunch price this year is $2.60. Ala carte is available. Prices are listed on our website. Breakfast will be FREE to all students and starts at 7:00 a.m. A Grab-N-Go breakfast will be available.
School begins August 16th. School times are 7:18 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
BRIGHT ELEMENTARY
On Friday, August 10th, Bright Elementary will be holding its first “Back-to-School Bash” from 6:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m. The Bash will include fun activities, games, and food! At this time the Freestore Foodbank will offer free, fresh produce to Bright Local families.
Bright Elementary will be holding its Open House on August 14th from 5:00 p.m-7:00 p.m. Come and meet your teachers! Bus drivers will be available for questions about bus routes, and if you have questions concerning lunch accounts Debbie Robertson will be available. The lunch price is $2.35. Breakfast will be FREE to all students and begins at 8:30 a.m.
The first day for students in grades 1-6 is Thursday, August 16th. School hours are 8:45 a.m-3:15 p.m.
Due to state required testing, students in Kindergarten will start August 23rd for all boys and August 24th for all girls with everyone in Kindergarten starting August 27th. Teachers will be in contact to schedule testing.
Due to preschool screening, Preschool students attending Mrs. Scott’s & Ms. Moore’s classes will begin on Monday, August 20th. Mrs. Farris’s class will begin August 20th for Monday/Wednesday students and August 21st for Tuesday/Thursday students.
